I can see why people moved here -- it is definitely warm! I don't remember visiting in the summer, although I know I was here in July '76. The other visits since then have been in the cooler months... It is actually too oppressively warm for me, at least at this time of year, but at least the smog is so much improved that we can see the San Gabriel mountains most of the time. I know that in previous years we often couldn't. Today we have a small family reunion, to meet up with some cousins we haven't even met yet! Even Granny is going, and that is going to be lovely. Will make the famous Shirley Stidham corn and black bean salad that has been a real hit with everyone who has tried it. More later!
